Bina’s suggestion- For clean drinking water, use rainwater

Kathmandu: Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation, Bina Magar, has said that harvesting of rainwater would help ensure clean drinking water rights guaranteed by the constitution.

Concluding the two-day conference here on Sunday, Minister Magar said that rainwater harvesting and its management would help achieve sustainable development goals.

She lamented, "Women have to suffer disparity during their menstruation in lack of water."

Former Minister Ganesh Shah said that the summit had contributing in spreading knowledge about the harvesting rainwater. He was confident that the programme would support in devising programmes addressing water shortage by adopting alternative methods for water.

Smart Wash's Director Hari Prasad Sharma shared that a total of 30 working papers were presented during the event while a 7-point commitment proposal was endorsed.
