NC to decide on power equation after parliament meet

Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress (NC) will decide on the power equation after the parliament meeting that will take place after the restoration of House of Representatives and after gauging the next moves of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).    
A meeting of NC office-bearers held at the personal residence of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba at Budhanilkantha on Thursday concluded to decide on the next course of actions in consideration of the circumstances that transpire after the meeting of the parliament.    
NC assistant general-secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said that the meeting concluded that NC should not hurriedly lend support or endorse any political parties for the formation of new government.    
Emerging from the meeting, Dr Mahat shared, "It is not clear how the Nepal Communist Party is going to move ahead. The Nepal Communist Party is still a single party. KP Sharma Oli is the parliamentary party leader of the NCP. It is not yet decided how their party (NCP) moves ahead in this situation. It is not under NC's control if the NCP remains intact or other situation emerges."    
Asked about proposals for the NC to lead the government from different parties, Mahat said that such proposals have no meaning at present.    
The NC had summoned its office-bearers' meeting to hold discussions in the latest political situation emerged after the restoration of the House of Parliament from the Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday.
