‘Separate mechanism to implement projects worth Rs 5 billion plus’

Kathmandu: Entrepreneurs and industrialists from the eastern part of the country have urged the government for effective implementation of the budget unveiled for the upcoming fiscal year 2021/22.    
At a programme organised by Society of Economic Journalists Nepal (SEJON) and Chamber of Commerce Morang on Thursday, the industrialists called for an effective mechanism for the implementation of the budget.    
On the occasion, President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Shekhar Golchha said that many of their feedback have been incorporated in the budget and hoped that the monetary policy would also give continuity to many of the issues unveiled in the budget.    
Likewise, Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Shishir Kumar Dhungana said that budget implementation has already started the day after the release of the budget while adding that the government was working to setup a separate entity to implement the projects with more than Rs 5 billion budget. Secretary Dhungana also claimed that there are sufficient bases for the implementation of the budget.    
Also speaking at the programme, Chairman of Chamber of Commerce Morang Suyas Pyakurel complained that the government has not implemented the subsidy offered by the government some three years ago.    
Entrepreneurs Bhim Ghimire, Paras Luniya, Bholeshwor Dulal, Raj Kumar Golchha, Surendra Golchha, Raj Kumar Golchha, Pradip Sarada and others shared their opinions stating that the upcoming year’s budget has accommodated most of the concerns of the private sector and called the Finance Ministry for the proper implementation of the budget.
