Kaski: A team led by Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Bishwokarma on Wednesday inspected and took stock of the under-construction infrastructures in Kaski district for the 13th South Asian Games-2019 scheduled for December 1 to 10.
Other team members that inspected football ground, handball academy, multi-purpose covered hall, cricket ground, archery ground, tennis court and square court under construction for the SAG include Nara Devi Pun, Minister for Social Development of Gandaki State and coordinator of the Pokhara SAG preparation committee and Ramesh Kumar Silwal, member secretary of the National Sports Council.
On the occasion, Sports Minister Bishwokarma, also chairperson of the SAG organising committee, stressed the need for well managed infrastructures to make the SAG a grand success. He also directed completion of the under-construction infrastructures on time while pledging sufficient budget for the same.
Dipak Baral, manager for the Pokhara Football Stadium Project, said the Pokhara Stadium with 10,000 seats would be completed before the SAG. Under the SAG, nine types of sports would be organised in Pokhara.
