Melamchi, Nov 3 (RSS): The people injured in the Sindhuli bus accident are undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital and Sheer Memorial Hospital Banepa. In this accident, at least 17 people were killed
The bus (Ba 2 Kha Kha 7245) en route to Kathmandu from Magedeurali, Dolakha, fell into the Sunkoshi River, leaving many people dead and injured. Of the injured, 48 were undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel hospital and of them one died in course of treatment, police said.
According to Kavre police DSP Deepak Giri, 14 persons who were undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel hospital have return home while four were referred to Kathmandu for further treatment.
The deceased identified so far are Chet Kumari Basnet, 52, of Shailungeshwari Rural Municiplaity-5, six-year-old Salina Tamang of the same Rural Municipality-4, Ranjita KC, 24, of Bhimeshwar Municipality, Chameli Shrestha, 27, of Sundari Rural Municiplaity-4 and Ratna Kumari Raut, 51, of Shailung Rural Municipality.
Police suspect the cause behind the accident to be high speed.
