NEPSE shows negative sign even today

Kathmandu: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index Wednesday decreased slightly by 4.84 points to close at 1,787.89 points.

The NEPSE trend has continuously been decreased since the first trading day of the week Sunday.

The sub-indices of all groups except hotels decreased today.

The sub-indices of insurance groups decreased significantly by 57.13 points and close at 9,159.47 points.

Similarly, the sub-indices of others, manufacturing, development banks, hydropower, finance and commercial banks groups went down by 7.81 points, 6.82 points, 4.44 points, 3.83 points, 1.99 points and 1.84 points to stand at 773.07 points, 2,315.92 points, 1,828.25 points, 2352.4 points, 824.75 points and 1,700.41 points, respectively.

However, the sub-indices of hotel groups increased by 2.25 points to close at 2,390.62 points.

NEPSE registered transaction with 121 companies making the turnover of Rs.564 million with a total of 850,234 shares through 3,299 transactions.

The sensitive index which measure of group "A companies" also decreased by 0.96 points to close at 387.81points on Wednesday.
