Taekwondo coach Shrestha wins best international referee award

Kathmandu: Taekwondo main coach Nabin Kumar Shresha has been adjudged the best referee in the Pakistan Open International (G1) Taekwondo Championship.    
 Around 50 people from six nations including from Nepal took charge of referee for the competition held in Islamabad from November 6 to 8.    
 Alongside Shrestha, those who took charge of referee in the match were Ashok Khadka, Min Neupane, Rabindra Malla, Jitsingh Lama and Deependra Dhakal.    
Earlier, Shrestha also won the best referee award in the Asian Taekwondo Championship held in Jordon in 2019.    
He was the main coach for the Nepali taekwondo team for the 13th South Asian Games (SAG). Nepal had won 12 gold, six silver, 11 bronze in the match where the taekwondo players contributed the most to the medal tally. However, Nepal won no medal in the Pakistan Open International.
