London: The UK-based Nepali Embassy has run a daylong mobile service for the Nepali people residing outside London.
Several Nepali residents who could not physically approach the embassy due to coronavirus pandemic have been benefitted from the mobile service that was run in collaboration with the Nepali Association Bilgisayar.
Association Chair Gyan Prasad Gurung shared that the programme was organized to ease Nepali people including the ageing ex-Gurkhas facing difficulty to travel to London.
Services such as passport renewal, NRN card and legal works were provided to the needy people in the mobile camp.
On behalf of the Nepali Embassy, its team comprising second secretary Rambabu Nepal, attaché Pujan Pandey and Binod Karki had delivered the services.
As many as 44 people received service in the mobile camp that was run from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Gurung informed.
It may be noted that the then Acting Ambassador to the UK Tej Bahadur Kshetry had started the mobile service some seven years ago.
