Kathmandu Mayor Cup: APF in final

Kathmandu: The Armed Police Force (APF) club has entered the final of the Kathmandu Mayor Cup one-day cricket tournament. In the semi-final match held Thursday, the APF club defeated Kathmandu Mayor 11 by 7 wickets to book a place in the final.    
Opting to field first after winning the toss in the match held at Mulpani Cricket ground, the APF limited Kathmandu Mayor 11 to 177 runs. Kathmandu were all out in 48.5 overs.    
In reply, the APF achieved the victory target of 178 runs in 44.1 overs, at the loss of 3 wickets. Sandip Jora and Sharad Bheswakar contributed 62 and 61 runs respectively, to take their team to the final.    
Earlier, Abinash Bohara and Kamal Singh Aiyree took three wickets each to limit Kathmandu to a paltry total. Kathmandu was led by leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, who took only one wicket and contributed 11 runs to his team's total.    
The APF will now meet Nepal Police Club in the final to be held on Saturday.
