Three fugitives alleged for smuggling rhino horn arrested

Kathmandu: Police here arrested three fugitives charged with smuggling rhino horn from Kathmandu.    
The arrested have been identified as Puran Reuli aka Rajendra Chettri, 31, of Sharada Municipality-5 in Salyan district, Aita Tamang aka Ashish Lama, 48, of Jyamire of Deupur Rural Municplaity-10 in Kavrepalanchwok and Gyan Bahadur Ruma aka Jwala, 36, of Naukunda Rural Municipality-3 in Rasuwa district.    
A team of police personnel deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) had arrested Reule from Dhapasi in Kathmandu while Tamang and Rumba were held from Sitapaila in Kathmandu on Thursday, police said.    
They were charged of killing a rhino in Chitwan National Park (CNP) and involved in smuggling of rhino horn. Police have also seized a vehicle (Na 2 Cha 1458) used by the alleged smugglers to smuggle the rhino horn.    
CIB's SP Ganga Panta said that the arrested ones have been sent to CNP office at Kasara in Chitwan for further actions.    
Police earlier had held four other alleged ones involved in smuggling of rhino horn and had sent them to the CNP for the further actions.
