Health Ministry not to increase doctor's consultation fees

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has directed the concerned authority not to increase the consultation fee of the doctors.    
According to Ministry spokesperson Dr Jageshwar Gautam, the Nepal Doctors' Association and Association of Private Health and Institutes have been directed to do homework before increasing the fee.    
The Ministry has stated that the consultation fees of the doctors would be as per the previous decision. The spokesperson has argued that the fee increment without consulting the Ministry will be not be accepted as it was not an appropriate time to hike the fees.
