Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Upendra Yadav made a surprise visit to the Singhadurbar Vaidyakhana Development Committee Wednesday. The visit was made in response to public complaints about the functioning of the state-owned Ayurvedic Company.
During the visit, DPM Yadav found only four of the 48 employees working at the drug factory of the Vaidyakhana. Following this, the Health Minister has asked the Managing Director of the Vaidyakhana to present progress report as well as future action plan, according to the DPM’s Secretariat.
On the occasion, the DPM was joined by Minister of State for Health Dr Surendra Yadav and Health Secretary Ram Kumar Thapaliya, among others.
