Country should advance toward self-dependent economy: PM Oli   


Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the country should move ahead toward self-reliant economy at a time coronavirus outbreak has been globally impacting.

Responding to lawmakers’ questions on the government policy and programme presented for the fiscal year 2020/21 in the House of Parliament (HoR) meeting today, Prime Minister Oli shared that the government has given first priority to prevent and control coronavirus in its policy and programme.

He said, “Human being will fight against the coronavirus. We believe that Nepal and the whole world will be free of coronavirus.”

Saying that production has been reduced, revenue collection as well as remittance inflow has decreased due to impact of coronavirus, the PM mentioned that we should run the life and society by combating it.

He added the government was heading towards the path of providing best possible employment opportunities and not to keep the country’s economy weak. “We are in favour of following comprehensive democracy with justice and equality in the country,” the PM said in the federal parliament.
